Children in preschool tend to listen to longer stories and even ask questions about the book you have just read to them. They will also begin to describe events like what they did during the day and use longer sentences. Make-believe play will really take off and they will even laugh at very simple jokes.
Pre-school children ages 3-5 can answer simple “WH” questions such as “who?”, “what?”, and “where?”.
