For those who have difficulties receiving speech and language therapy, we offer Tele-Therapy — a remote option for those who can’t always make it to see a speech-language pathologist
Who can benefit from Tele-Therapy?
- Children or adults who live in rural areas
- Those who don’t have easy access to a speech-language pathologist
- Children on the spectrum who don’t do well in on-site therapy
- Schools experiencing a shortage of speech therapists who need a reliable option to ensure an effective approach
Giving students the option to go into a room, while at school, and meeting with a speech therapist they can see and interact with, has proven to be just as effective as a one-on-one, in-person session. Research has shown that children with autism actually thrive from it!
The qualification for Tele-Therapy is determined on a case by case basis. Please consult with one of our speech pathologists at The Speech and Language Centers of Excellence for more information.
